United Methodist Women is an organization of approximately one million members across the United States, whose purpose is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders and advocate for justice. Members raise nearly $25 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world. The Women’s Division is the national policy-making body of this group.
Any woman committing herself to the Purpose of the organization can be a member. Women are invited to be involved in leadership at the local, district, conference, jurisdiction or nation level. By doing so, you become a woman committed to mission with women, children, and youth!
The Purpose of United Methodist Women:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
